Offer made for 28-year-old as latest Celtic change draws nearer

Our Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see their club preparing for Champions League football next season already but, according to The Daily Mail, an outgoing could be next on the menu.

The Bhoys are once again walking away with the top flight in Scotland and look set to be in the Champions League next season, too, but, whilst new signings are going to be a must, Efe Ambrose is unlikely to be at the club for much longer.

The defender has been in the cold under Brendan Rodgers this season with the likes of Erik Sviatchenko and Kolo Toure in front of him in the pecking order and now Blackburn Rovers have reportedly made an offer for him.

The Championship side are struggling this season and look set to battle relegation for the rest of this campaign so if they can get Ambrose in they’ll surely be able to give themselves a better chance of staying up.

It’s a loan deal on the table at the moment but our landlord reckons should he help keep Rovers up a permanent deal could be on the cards.
