Celtic fans have gathered in the Transfer Tavern to hear news of any potential deals the club could make.
The Hoops started the summer well by signing PSG’s young striker, Odsonne Edouard. After another title-winning campaign, Rodgers will be hoping he can add some more quality to his superb squad. The Celtic boss, however, may also be about to lose one of his best players as reports have linked Kieran Tierney with a move to the Premier League.
Reports from the Daily Record have linked Celtic’s young fullback with a £25 million move down south to join Everton.
The Celtic youth academy product has attracted interest from some of Europe’s elite over the last year and is apparently now nearing a move away. New Everton boss, Marco Silva is looking to replacement long-term Everton man, Leighton Baines.
At 21-years-old, Tierney has become one of the hottest prospects in European football. A constant threat down the left flank due to his searing pace and superb left foot, the youngster emerged as an important player for Celtic last year.
While a move to Everton isn’t close to being finalised, a move to the Premier League might be a wise one for the Scotland international. Not only would it guarantee him certain game time in a top league but also the chance to develop to develop against quality opposition.
A massive £25 million fee might just be too much for Celtic to refuse, while Everton could be about to get their hands on a future star who in a few years might just become one of the better players in the Premier League.
Is it time for Tierney to leave Celtic fans?
