Positive transfer boost for Celtic fans despite unwelcome rumours over star

The Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping Brendan Rodgers can continue to add to his squad over the course of the month, having already landed Marvin Compper to strengthen his ranks. Indeed, the Bhoys in our bar believe they need it.

With a huge clash against Zenit St Petersburg on the horizon, our punters clad in green and white want to see the club back their boss even further. As you can imagine, our resident Hoops are desperate for a run in European competition and many harbour the belief that Rodgers can work his magic if he’s afforded funds.

Still, a lot of those who support Celtic in our bar are worried about exits. Kieran Tierney recently joined Moussa Dembele in being linked with a move away from Parkhead, though further comments in the Daily Record have certainly had our punters feeling a little easier about the former.

They claim Tierney – a boyhood fan of the Scottish giants – is unlikely to push for a move to Manchester United, who are reportedly interested in signing the left-back.

A hugely popular figure amongst supporters, this is a huge boost for our drinkers.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Perhaps the notion of keeping Tierney around forever is a tad too romantic. However, clearly enjoying life in Glasgow, the Scotland star’s obvious love for the green and white army is likely to stand them in good stead for a short while.

A massive talent, it’s an exciting time for Celtic.
