Potential transfer setback emerges for Celtic – Report

The Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern aren’t used to losing on home soil and yesterday’s reversal away at Kilmarnock has left our punters scratching their heads. Indeed, eager to see the club improve on the European front, some signings in the summer are oh so clearly needed.

With that in mind, reports from the Daily Mail have done little to pick the mood up amongst our punters clad in green and white. They claim the Scottish giants are keen on a move for 16-year-old prodigy, Elvis Azah, though could reportedly face big competition from a number of Premier League clubs.

The winger impressed for the Hoops’ youth sides by scoring and assisting against Partick Thistle and those behind the scenes at Parkhead are understood to be keen on keeping him around. However, the likes of Southampton and Brighton are also thought to have an interest in him, with the young Irish international also said to have previously had a trial with Man United.

As you can imagine, following yesterday’s loss, this is not the news our resident Hoops wanted.
