Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are again feeling delighted that their team have triumphed in the Scottish Premiership and once again surpassed Rangers’ best efforts.
It’s becoming all a bit too easy at times as Celtic have shown their dominance over most teams this season. Unfortunately though, the Hoops fans are still waiting for the season that they endure European success, having failed to do so time after time. This summer, although they won the league, will prove an important time to flex their muscles and delve right into the transfer window in the hope that new acquisitions can give them the force they need to improve their chances in Europe.
Our punters believe a player who could be brilliant up in Celtic Park is Hull City’s Abel Hernandez, a prolific Championship goalscorer valued at £6.30 million on Transfermarkt. Hernandez is a player blessed with great pace and finishing ability and would easily become a great partner to Moussa Dembele if Celtic are able to keep hold of the Frenchman.
Although Hernandez’s campaign has been largely scuppered by injury, the 27-year-old still managed to score 6 goals in just 7 appearances. This is the type of goalscorer Celtic are surely crying out for and the Hoops must look to do everything they can to bring him to the Scottish champions.
Hull’s season could have been so different if Hernandez was fully fit but now with the Uruguayan on the mend, Celtic should take advantage and buy themselves a top goalscorer who could offer the team so much more quality on his day.
