Life amongst the Celtic fans so often found celebrating in the Transfer Tavern has been fairly rosy all season.
With the Bhoys in the bar simply delighted about the complexion of this campaign under Brendan Rodgers as the Hoops close in on an unbeaten season, they’ve not been used to bad news for much of the past year.
So, while reports from the Scottish Sun are barely the most upsetting news you’re likely to hear, injury reports are never nice. According to the report, youngster Mikey Johnston is likely to miss the end of the season, as well as the Toulon Tournament with Scotland U21s.
The 18-year-old, who recently scored on his debut for the SPFL champions, was reportedly set to be named in Scot Gemmill’s young Tartan Army squad, though is now a major doubt to feature at all until pre-season.
Because of just how far ahead Celtic are in Scotland, the punters in the bar were hoping to see Johnston feature heavily during the end of the campaign.
