Report reveals Celtic transfer news fans might not like ahead of next season

For the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern, the weekend saw some pretty wild celebrations when Leigh Griffiths almost led Scotland to a famous victory over England.

The Bhoys in the bar erupted when the Hoops star notched two stunning free-kicks within minutes of each other and, while Harry Kane broke Hampden hearts, his performance will live long in the memory.

Which is why reports from the Daily Mirror have surprised our green and white clad locals so much. According to their report, the former Hibernian and Wolves star is attracting Premier League interest.

Both Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion are thought to be keen on the 26-year-old, who would reportedly be available for around £6m.

One of the most clinical finishers in Scotland, only the arrival of the excellent Moussa Dembele has been able to push him down the pecking order at Parkhead.

Indeed, the drinkers propping our bar believe the forward would be worth it, even just for the free-kicks!

Still, the resident Hoops would hate to see him go, especially considering the fact Brendan Rodgers will need a strong squad to compete in the Champions League.
