While the loss to Barcelona earlier this week obviously ended their Champions League campaign, the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have been in good spirits in regards to life under Brendan Rodgers.
Ever since his arrival in Glasgow, the Northern Irishman has seemingly instilled a fresh dynamism to the Hoops and the Bhoys propping up the bar have had very little reason to moan indeed.
Still, reports from the Daily Mail have at least provided food for thought.
They’ve revealed defender Emilio Izaguirre is a target for MLS side San Jose Earthquakes as his contract at Parkhead draws to a close.
Though he’s recently made it back into the first-team since Kieran Tierney suffered a big injury, the Honduran was largely playing second fiddle to the Scotland international.
The Honduran is said to be keen to extend his six-year stay at Celtic Park, though interest from across the pond is believed to be real.
With Celtic reportedly looking into the signing of USA international Darlington Nagbe, it could be another bit of business conducted with MLS sides in quick succession.
Should Celtic do all they can to keep Izaguirre? Let us know below..
