Rodgers talks puts Celtic on verge of another transfer deal, fans will be delighted

As the Champions League qualifiers hurtle towards the Celtic fans still celebrating last season in the Transfer Tavern, many of those clad in green and white are desperate to see Brendan Rodgers further strengthen his squad.

With Jonny Hayes already signed, the Bhoys in the bar are keen on banking more additions as soon as possible in order to whip the squad into shape for what is hopefully a more prosperous European adventure next term.

Indeed, that’s exactly why reports from the Daily Record have gone down oh so well of late. They claim the Parkhead giants are readying a £5m offer for Chelsea midfielder Charley Musonda, in what would potentially be a big name addition in Glasgow.

According to the report, the Belgian youngster is of interest to Rodgers, who is understood to have held talks with the 20-year-old over the idea of a move.

A highly-rated talent amongst our resident Blues, the playmaker has spent much of the last two seasons on loan with Real Betis, so has some good experience in playing at the top level. In fact, the notion of pairing him behind Moussa Dembele next season has our local Bhoys dancing on the pool tables.
