Much of the talk amongst the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern has centred around the upcoming Old Firm meeting on Saturday.
The Bhoys propping up the bar have the buzz back as the Scottish champions prepare to square off against their bitter rivals in the first league match between two in four years.
With Champions League football also back on show at Parkhead, it’s a good time to be in the Tavern for the Hoops right now.
Some of the more eagle-eyed punters amongst that lot have spotted reports from the Daily Record, giving them another reason to celebrate.
They claim Scotland international James Morrison will consider a move to Celtic Park in January, should he fail to break into the West Bromwich Albion first-team during that time.
The former Middlesborough ace only penned a new deal at the Hawthorns over the course of the summer, though has revealed he is frustrated by a lack of first-team football under Tony Pulis.
“Obviously I am not playing at my club at the moment and there was an enquiry”, said the midfielder after Scotland’s 5-1 victory away in Malta.
“But the club said no. With my position at the minute I would definitely have considered it. But it didn’t happen so I am just looking forward to trying to get back into the team.
“The last day of the window was the first time I had heard of it. My first goal is to get back playing regularly for my club again and try and force my way back into the Scotland team.
“January is a long time away, but I would have to seriously consider my position at the club if I am not playing. I was injured for a bit and I am still not getting games. I will have to look at it.”
