Rodgers’s rebuild sees another Celtic departure reportedly close to completion

Having battered Linfield last night, it’s fair to say the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are really rather happy right now.

Indeed, the Bhoys in the bar have been celebrating pretty much all night and those clad in green and white draped over our bar have been talking up their prospects in regards to a Champions League adventure next term.

S0, reports from the Daily Record have actually given the Hoops in our venue something different to talk about. They’ve revealed stalwart defender Emilio Izaguirre has agreed to leave Parkhead after a trophy-laden seven years in Glasgow.

The 31-year-old won six league titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups since joining from hometown club Motagua and now looks set for a move to the Middle East. A two-year deal with Al-Fayha over in Saudi Arabia has reportedly been agreed and the Honduran will apparently command a transfer fee of around £1.25m.

A hugely popular figure amongst the punters propping up the bar, not many of the Celtic fans in tonight do not begrudge him a move to finish his career and wish him the best.
