Not many of the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern know exactly how Brendan Rodgers can possibly improve on next season, without breaking the bank to land players capable of taking the club on a prolonged Champions League adventure.
Now, that may not be the most realistic of outcomes in a pretty crazy transfer window, so the Bhoys in the bar are hoping for some astute additions to at least help them get out of the group stages. Indeed, reports from the Scottish Sun have intrigued them on that regard.
They claim Brendan Rodgers has opened talks with QPR over a potential deal for Steven Caulker. Recently, Rodgers revealed he was helping the 25-year-old battle personal problems, having worked with the defender at Swansea City.
Now, the report says formal talks between the two clubs have begun over a potential move to Scotland for the one-cap England international, who is seemingly out of the picture at Loftus Road.
A talented player no doubt, the former Liverpool loanee would be a popular addition amongst our drinkers clad in green and white, if Rodgers can bring the best out of the defender.
It would apparently be a cut-price switch, so the punters propping up the bar are on board as things stand.
