Despite winning two league titles under his stewardship, much of the talk around the Ronny Deila era at Celtic centred around what the club were doing wrong.
It is a strange situation for the Bhoys, who won the SPFL twice at a relative canter, though it is fair to say the club stagnated.
Failing to qualify for the Champions League proper during the Norwegian’s tenure, the club failed to capitalise on the absence of Rangers and the Scottish Cup semi-final loss represented a truly dismal time under the 40-year-old.
However, with Brendan Rodgers now in the dugout, there can be a new dawn for the club.
Back into the continent’s elite competition already, the champions can bring the good times back in a much wider sense for the Parkhead faithful.
Though, clearly, it’s early days for Rodgers, his appointment over the course of the summer looks like being one of their best decisions in recent years.
