Celtic fans here in the Tavern are hoping to see the return of a star player sometime soon, with injuries continuing to take their toll on proceedings.
The Hoops will be disappointed with the outcome of their last fixture in the Scottish Premier League, as they offered very little in a 0-0 draw with St. Johnstone on Sunday. Although, there has been positive developments on the injury front for the Bhoys, as according to reports in the Scottish Sun, Celtic star Patrick Roberts is set to play in a development league match tomorrow as he aims to regain full fitness.
Indeed, the winger has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since November’s 1-1 draw with Motherwell, as he continues on his long road to recovery. But, the 21-year-old is aiming to play a part in the final quarter of the current campaign, as he remained in Glasgow to work on his fitness while the rest of the squad headed to Russia.

And, tomorrow’s development league showdown with Partick Thistle will be a huge stride made towards a return, as improvements in the player’s fitness continue to push him ever closer to the first-team. Encouragingly, the on loan Manchester City man may even make a return for Sunday’s game against Aberdeen, but this all depends on the outcome of tomorrow’s game.
Very promising news for the Celtic ace, with his return to the side coming at a perfect time for the Hoops and their European aspirations. Although, nothing is confirmed with tomorrow’s game being of great importance, knowing that a positive turnout could shape for an incredible boost to the rest of their season.
