Celtic fans here in the Tavern are still yet to get over the wonderful season their side enjoyed. Most have high praise for Brendan Rodgers after witnessing yet another treble, with a couple of bits of business this month possibly sending supporters into a frenzy.
Brendan Rodgers’ side managed to secure the treble this season, with views of doing this once again in the next campaign and enjoying success in Europe.
Although, with the transfer window now in full swing, the Hoops will be looking to strengthen in preparation for another successful season.
Indeed, the month of June could be one of the best in the club’s history if Rodgers can work his magic to nail down a few pieces of business, as this could set them up for an even better season next time around.
So, with supporters still beaming with happiness, here are TWO things that will give fans another reason to celebrate…
John McGinn joins
A whole host of clubs are interested in signing the Hibernian midfielder, but if Celtic can snap him up, they’ll be well on their way to securing another treble.
Brendan Rodgers has reportedly put John McGinn on a list of potential summer targets, with Celtic needing to bring in another midfielder that can help contribute in the final third.
Of course, Tom Rogic has already shown that he can set the Scottish Premiership alight, but adding McGinn to their ranks would make the Hoops an unstoppable force next season.
Derdyck Boyata signs new deal
Dedryck Boyata was outstanding for Celtic this season, which earned him a place in Belgium’s squad for the World Cup later on this month.
The central defender’s contract is set to run out in around a year’s time, so the Hoops will be desperate to see him sign a new deal this month, with a couple of accomplished performances in the World Cup possibly attracting interest from other clubs.
He is in the peak years of his footballing career, so he will be crucial to Celtic’s push for silverware next season and could establish himself as a club legend if he stays for the long-term.
But, with it being reported that he wants to sign a new deal, perhaps Celtic fans will receive some incredible news to make June a month to remember.
