Celtic fans here in the Tavern will expect nothing less than another treble in the next campaign after dominating proceedings last time out.
Indeed, the Hoops will need to strengthen over the course of the summer despite their dominance in the last campaign, as the likes of Rangers and Aberdeen will be looking to challenge at the top of the Scottish Premiership table next season. Although, it looks as if they may lose one of their most influential players this summer, as according to Belgian daily Het Nieuwsblad, clubs from England, France and Turkey have joined Lazio in the race to sign Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata.
Worryingly, clubs from England, France and Turkey are now believed to be considering a summer swoop for Celtic centre-back Dedryck Boyata, who is already a target for Lazio.
The Belgian has a year left on his current contract and Celtic are firmly at risk of losing the defender during the ongoing transfer window having impressed at the World Cup thus far.
Celtic are keen to tie him down to a new deal but his future continues to be surrounded with doubt, as a move away looks extremely likely.
Dedryck Boyata established himself as one of the best defenders in the Scottish Premiership last season, but his future is currently surrounded with doubt. There’s no doubt that Celtic will be hoping to secure the treble once again next season after performing magnificently in the last campaign, but without Boyata they may struggle to ensure defensive solidity, which could put their trophy hopes in doubt.
