Rangers will be preparing for their crunch Europa League match with Villarreal on Thursday as they look to progress to the next stage of the competition.
The Gers will know that a victory will give them a great chance of putting one foot into the next round, whilst a draw will leave it all down to the final game.
When the two sides met in Spain in September, Steven Gerrard witnessed his team come away with a hard-fought point in a 2-2 draw.
The manager will have been putting them through their paces in training sessions and it appears one man has been joining in with the senior side.
Posting a photo on Instagram, Dapo Mebude shared an image of him and Gerrard together.
The 17-year-old has been impressing for the Developmental side under Graeme Murty, but is yet to have been given his chance in the senior side, despite having trained with the first-team on a couple of occasions already.
With the number of wingers available for Gerrard, he will likely turn to those with a little more experience than Mebude, with the likes of Eros Grezda, Glenn Middleton and Daniel Candeias all available.
However, the photo that the 17-year-old posted will excite fans and it would seem that it is only a matter of time before he gets his chance in the senior side.
Having impressed for Murty’s youngsters, Mebude appears to have a bright future at Ibrox and many will be excited to see what he brings.
