One former England international has revealed that he would love to join Steven Gerrard at Rangers this season.
The striker is currently a free agent after his contract with Derby County ended in the summer and has been spending time back at Burton Albion training, following a spell with the side back in the second half of the 2017/18 season.
The 34-year-old, who was a guest on Jim Whites’ show on Tuesday, was asked about his future and the possibility of joining the Light Blues was put forward to him.
“100 per cent!” he answered before adding “you’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in football in Rangers.
“To get the opportunity to go up there and play – definitely!”
A move taking Bent to Rangers seems extremely unrealistic at this stage and not much should be thought about it, to be honest.
The former England international was being asked a question by White about a possibility of heading north of the border and there has not been any significant interest from the Scottish Premiership side for him.
Gerrard made a number of additions in the summer, including in his forward areas with Umar Sadiq and Kyle Lafferty being added, whilst he also managed to keep hold of Alfredo Morelos despite interest in the Colombian striker.
