Rangers need to get a move on if they are to stand any chance of securing the Scottish Premiership title in the current campaign, with Celtic beginning to pull away.
The Bluenoses drafted in a number of fresh faces back in the summer transfer window, and it’s fair to say that almost all of the additions have had a positive effect on proceedings this season.
But, the month of January could decide Steven Gerrard and Rangers’ fate, with the opportunity to pile the pressure on Celtic. Although, a negative run of results could force them to lose out on silverware.
With that being said, here is the dream January for Rangers…
OVERTAKE CELTIC IN TITLE RACE
The Bluenoses managed to get the better of Brendan Rodgers’ side in the Old Firm clash recently, so they’ll be desperate to take their place at the top of the table. Of course, Celtic still have a game in hand at this moment in time, but the title race has been blown wide open, which will only benefit Rangers.
All that the Bluenoses can do from here on in is to consistently grind out positive results, as this will help them pile pressure on Celtic, which will hopefully put them in pole position.
SECURE PERFECT ALFREDO MORELOS PARTNER
Alfredo Morelos has been the star of the show for Rangers once again in the current campaign, with an incredible amount of goals and assists to his name.
However, the Bluenoses have struggled in his absence and are far too reliant on the South American to deliver the goods. Indeed, it’s vital that Gerrard signs another striker that can score the goals that have gone missing with Kyle Lafferty in the side.
So, securing the services of someone like Dominic Solanke would provide Morelos with the perfect strike partner, as they can bounce off each other and pick up the goalscoring load when the other is struggling.
