Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be wanting to get this season behind them as quickly as possible after seeing their side get hammered by Old Firm rivals Celtic again.
The locals would have been hoping that their 4-0 defeat in the Scottish Cup semi-final would have been as bad as it could get, however, the punters in the bar saw their side get smashed 5-0 at Celtic Park at the weekend. To make things worse, they witnessed the Bhoys secure their seventh title in a row to further demonstrate how big the gap between the two sides has come.
Things can surely only get better for the Gers and according to reports in the Mirror, it is believed they could have a couple of new arrivals to Ibrox for next season, with Steven Gerrard, set to be named manager and he will bring along Gary McAllister with him.
The Liverpool duo are believed to have told Rangers that they are prepared to take on the job to try and bring the glory days back to the Blue side of Glasgow, whilst Gerrard is said to be keen to go up against former boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be excited with the prospect of Gerrard taking over the helm at Ibrox, however, a number of locals will be concerned by his lack of experience and will be watching cautiously about what he can bring to the side.
