The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have been waving goodbye to their 26-year-old striker, Nadir Ciftci. The Turkish striker is leaving the club this summer on the expiry of his contract after signing for the Hoops back in 2013 from Dundee United for around £2 million. Fans can read more about their striker’s departure on the Celtic website.
#CelticFC can confirm that Nadir Ciftci will be leaving the club on June 30, 2018.
All the very best for the future, Nadir. https://t.co/nNnoiQ6fUm

At the age of just 26, it’s fair to say that Ciftci can still forge a career for himself somewhere, it’s just unlikely that he’ll be doing it in Scotland after his failure at Celtic. The Striker signed for Celtic at the age of just 21 after a successful spell at Dundee United saw him score 33 goals and register 20 assists in just 82 appearances for the Tangerines. Since then, however, things have gone downhill and he’s has failed to impress at Celtic or any of his five loan spells.
Whilst things may look bleak for the forward, he will be confident that he can regain the form he found at Dundee United where he managed to impress Ronny Deila that he could do a job for the Scottish champions. Ciftci has been unable to break into Brendan Rodgers’ first team since he’s been at the club with the in-form Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele both preferred over the ex-Tannadice striker.

Another one of Ronny’s duds out the door an absolute waste of money and bizarre signing.
