Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting their side to perform to a better standard when they face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership next weekend.
The Gers were embarrassed by the Hoops in the Scottish Cup semi-final two weekends ago in a 4-0 defeat and are still suffering from the fall out of the result. Alfredo Morelos and Greg Docherty had an on-field dispute with each other at the final whistle, whilst Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace were both suspended by the club after an altercation with Graeme Murty in the dressing room.
The locals will be pleased their side came back from that disastrous period with a victory against Heart of Midlothian, however, they will once again face Celtic, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to lift the trophy in front of their Old Firm rivals.
The fixture with the Bhoys will have been made even more challenging for Murty’s team as Bruno Alves and Wes Foderingham are considered to be doubtful for the clash, per BBC Sport.
According to the media outlet, the Portuguese defender is currently dealing with a hamstring injury that has ruled him out, whilst the goalkeeper is looking to recover from a long-standing issue.
The locals in the Tavern will be looking for their side to bounce back from the shocking display against their rivals last time out, however, a number of the punters will be concerned with the number of injuries building up to the game.
