Rangers have been rather impressive in recent times as they continue to hunt down silverware under the guidance of Steven Gerrard.
The Bluenoses continue to come on leaps and bounds in Europe and have an outside change of snatching the Scottish Premiership title away from Celtic, so things are definitely looking up for Rangers.
Indeed, Steven Gerrard desperately needs to ensure consistency domestically as they’ve found themselves slipping up against sides that they really should be beating.
However, a couple of Gerrard’s summer signings haven’t helped the cause as they continue to disappoint and stagnate at Ibrox, with supporters beginning to lose their faith.
With that in mind, these TWO Rangers flops are Gerrard’s worst signings…
Jon Flanagan made the move from Premier League side Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but he hasn’t been able to enjoy a run in the side due to his rash decision-making towards the start of the current campaign.
Indeed, the right-back has already been given his marching orders in the blue shirt and has struggled to ensure defensive solidity at the back, so it comes as no surprise that he has struggled to work his way into Gerrard’s plans.
Umar Sadiq joined on loan from Italian side AS Roma during the summer transfer window as one of the hottest prospects in the whole of world football. But, he hasn’t been able to live up to expectations, with Gerrard constantly finding himself demanding more from the 21-year-old.
Indeed, Alfredo Morelos has carried the majority of the load for Rangers at the pinnacle of the attack with Kyle Lafferty also contributing, but the Nigerian just hasn’t put enough effort in to deserve a place in the side.
