Celtic fans currently competing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern are discussing a former players column that was written for The Daily Record.
The clubs former striker Chris Sutton believes that the club should get the signing of Carlton Cole done as soon as possible.
He also stated that the longer they leave it the more chance Cole has of finding another club, and the club being left in limbo should Leigh Griffiths get an injury, and Nadir Ciftci failing to adapt to life at Parkhead, leaves Sutton worried.
Sutton, writing for The Daily Record, said:
“Leigh Griffiths avoided a domestic ban this week but if he gets injured or suspended then Celtic are in big trouble as Nadir Ciftci’s not cutting it so far.”
“That’s why I can’t understand the hold up on Carlton Cole. He shouldn’t be here if there are fitness issues and if he’s fit then he should be signed up.”
“Celtic can’t afford to wait until it’s too late and they have Griffiths injured and Ciftci’s on a ban.”
The Celtic fans in The Transfer Tavern are in full agreement with their former strikers comments, and many see Cole as a quality signing for the club.
Celtic fans do you think the club should hurry up and make a decision on Carlton Cole?
