Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be pleased with what the club has managed to do already this summer and will be looking forward to the future.
Steven Gerrard has been working tirelessly to bring in a number of additions to the squad, which he has done so successfully, and will be hoping they can make a real impact on the pitch as they look to challenge for the Scottish Premiership.
The new Light Blues boss has also been impressed with the players in the academy and it appears that Liam Burt is one of them to have caught the former Liverpool captain’s eye since his arrival at Ibrox.
According to the club’s official Twitter account for the academy, the midfielder has signed a one-year extension to his current deal, which will keep him in Glasgow until 2019.

Burt has been considered by many of the locals as one of the brightest prospects to be coming out of the youth ranks and made his debut for the senior side when he was 17-years-old under Mark Warburton.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be delighted that they have tied Burt down to a new deal and will be hoping he can push on and make a real impact.
The youngster has already shown glimpses of what he can do and if he were to continue to work hard throughout the course of the season, there is no real reason why he could not break into Gerrard’s first-team plans.
