Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will be encouraged with what Steven Gerrard has already done at the club and will be looking forward to the start of the Scottish Premiership season.
The locals in the Tavern will feel that they have a better chance of matching and competing with Old Firm rivals Celtic in the top-flight now following the number of signings that the new manager has already made.
With the number of new faces coming through the door at Ibrox, it was always to be expected that a number of players would have to depart and according to reports in the Scottish Sun, one of their brightest prospects has decided to leave the club on a temporary basis.
The media outlet are claiming that Jamie Barjonas has agreed to a loan spell with Partick Thistle after making his first-team debut for the Gers last season. Midfield places will be harder to come by this year and it is thought the 19-year-old’s development would be better off elsewhere for the time being.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern will be pleased that the 19-year-old will be able to get more regular football under his belt with a loan move to Partick as he has shown that he could make a real difference to the Light Blues in the future.
A move will suit Barjonas now as he would find it extremely difficult to get minutes on the pitch at Ibrox with all the latest arrivals and the locals in the Tavern will be hoping he can learn a lot to bring back to the squad in the future.
