Rangers will be absolutely delighted after Saturday’s victory over Celtic in the Old Firm clash, as the three points have put them in a very promising position.
The Bluenoses will feel extremely confident heading into the New Year after getting the better of their bitter rivals, with the pressure firmly on Celtic to secure the Scottish Premiership title.
Interestingly, it looks as if Rangers may recall one of their players from a loan spell, as according to the Daily Record’s transfer news live blog (30/12; 09:13), Steven Gerrard admits he could recall Ryan Hardie.
Steven Gerrard admits he could recall loan striker Ryan Hardie from Livingston in January.
The 21-year-old attacker has impressed during his loan spell so far, with five goals to his name in 7 appearances.
Of course, the Liverpool legend will be looking to bring in a striker in the January transfer window, but Hardie could be called back if things don’t work out.
Ryan Hardie could definitely do a good job at supporting Alfredo Morelos at the pinnacle of the attack, but securing the services of a striker must be Gerrard’s first priority in January.
Indeed, Hardie could still play a huge part in the future of the club and has already shown that he can score goals in the Scottish Premiership, so he could be a good last resort.
