Rangers fans here in the Tavern will be desperate to see a number of additions this summer, as they’ll be looking to challenge bitter rivals Celtic next season.
Indeed, the Bluenoses didn’t manage to finish the season strongly as they were pipped to second-place by Aberdeen, with many of our local residents hoping for some silverware in the next campaign. However, Rangers look to have missed out on a reported target, as according to The World Game, James Jeggo has signed for Austria Wien.
Sadly, Rangers have reportedly missed out on Australian midfielder James Jeggo.
Indeed, it was understood that the midfielder was interesting Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, but Jeggo opted to move to Austria Wien instead as the pivotal selling point was the Austrian club’s vision.
“What really enticed me was the fact that they have a point to prove next season and have ambitious plans to get back to where they were the season before.”
“They are a club that have consistently over the last 10 years played European football and were the last Austrian club to make the Champions league group stages.”
Rangers will need to turn their attention elsewhere after missing out on James Jeggo as he appears to have signed for Austria Wien. So, Steven Gerrard will now need to have a rethink after tasting rejection, as the Bluenoses are in desperate need of a central midfielder.
