Rangers have enjoyed a rather positive start to life under Steven Gerrard as they continue to secure impressive results.
The Bluenoses drafted in a lot of players this summer as Steven Gerrard continues to build his squad at Ibrox, with the Scottish Premiership title in sight. But, the Liverpool legend still hasn’t felt the pressure of an Old Firm match, so that could dictate how Rangers fare this season.
Interestingly, Rangers have already waved goodbye to a number of players this summer, but there could and should be a couple of other players heading for the exits.
Indeed, one player in particular just wasn’t able to live with the pace of Scottish Premiership football last season and has looked sluggish in possession at times in the current campaign.
So, it’s hard to believe Gerrard hasn’t shifted this Rangers flop yet…
Andy Halliday, who is currently valued at £315k (by Transfermarkt),was one of Rangers’ most inconsistent players in the last campaign as he often made mistakes and lost his head at times.
And, nothing seems to have changed this season as he just doesn’t look good enough to earn regular minutes at the club under Steven Gerrard.
So, it comes as some surprise that the Bluenoses haven’t looked at offloading him at any point so far this summer as he has no future at the club. Indeed, if he does manage to receive minutes from here on in then it will only be as a last resort.
