Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will want to see what else Steven Gerrard can bring to the club this summer after starting life as the new manager quickly.
The new boss has already been active in the transfer window making a number of additions and it is believed he is verging on the edge of completing another signing in the next couple of days.
According to a report in the Scottish Sun, the Gers have agreed to a price with Brighton and Hove Albion for Connor Goldson. It has been alleged that a fee in the region of £3.5million is enough to convince the Seagulls to part with him.
The 25-year-old is thought to have already spoken to Gerrard about what the former Liverpool star wants to achieve and is ready to commit to the Ibrox outfit.
The arrival of Goldson will be beneficial to Gerrard’s ambitions for Rangers and the fans in the Tavern would welcome him to the side as they are desperate for a new centre-back.
The defender is keen on getting first-team football and would be in a position to make the spot his own. The locals would be delighted to see him join after their earlier summer problems trying to sign the likes of Martin Skrtel and will be hoping for more additions to be made.
