Rangers have been rather impressive under the guidance of Steven Gerrard so far this season, with the Scottish Premiership title still in sight.
The Bluenoses will need to start making the most of promising positions if they are to secure any silverware this season, with competition beginning to hot up. Worryingly, Steven Gerrard made a demand to one of his players recently, as according to the Daily Mail, Gerrard wants Umar Sadiq to work harder.
Steven Gerrard tells Rangers loanee Umar Sadiq he must show more to earn shirt.
If the forward wants more time in the Rangers team then Gerrard insists he must raise his game in every aspect.
“We need more in every department,”
‘There is not one thing where you think: “Well, if he does that a bit better, he’s in”. He needs to do more.
“We understand he is a young player. I’ve spoken to him numerous times one-on-one. He’s had individual training. We’ve done everything as a staff to help him.”
Umar Sadiq has been a huge disappointment since making the move to Rangers as he just hasn’t been able to live up to his full potential, with Steven Gerrard starting to lose his patience.
The forward needs to buck his ideas up if he is to have any form of future at the club as he finds himself nowhere near enjoying a breakthrough at this moment in time.
