Rangers: Gallagher discusses Hibs’ penalty shout

Many Rangers fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by @Record_Sport which shared former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher’s assessment of Hibernian’s penalty shout from their 1-0 Premiership loss to Rangers last Saturday.
Per The Daily Record, Hibs appealed loudly for a penalty in the second half of their clash with Rangers after Joe Newell went down in the box following an attempted clearance from Gers attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi.
The penalty was ultimately not given by the referee in charge of this clash, Willie Collum, and speaking about the incident, Gallagher told Sky Sports Ref Watch that he agreed with Collum’s decision not to award Hibs a penalty, explaining that a spot-kick shouldn’t have been awarded as Hagi didn’t make contact with the Hibs midfielder.
So, how have these Rangers fans been reacting to Gallagher’s comments?
Some of the Gers fans who responded to @Record_Sport’s tweet reacted positively to Gallagher’s comments, while other Rangers supporters took this opportunity to brand Newell a cheater.
“Wow wow wow, this does not fit the agenda….”
“Someone with knowledge of the rules saying it like it is. Good fella.”
“Correct Dermot. Zero contact made with the hibs fella. Should have been booked for diving.”
“Not focusing on the Simulation of a guy falling down with no contact ,I think we call it CHEATING”
Are you happy with Gallagher's comments?
YES

NO

“It’s actually a question of simulation on Newell’s part as no contact is made and he goes down holding his head. It’s actually shameful cheating on his part.”
“Never touched him. Hibs player faked an injury, cheat.”
In other news, loads of Rangers fans have been left fuming at a tweet from Scottish football expert Ewan Murray.
