Glenn Middleton agrees to new Rangers deal

Rangers have decided to reward one of their youngsters with a new deal to extend his stay at Ibrox on a longer-term contract.

According to the Scottish Sun, Glenn Middleton has agreed to a bumper deal, despite having signed an 18-month contract when he joined the club from Norwich City in January.

The 18-year-old has impressed under Steven Gerrard this season, having netted three goals in his 12 appearances for the club so far and the club have deemed to it necessary to act quickly and tie him down further.

The report does not state how long his new deal will last for, however, the Light Blues will be delighted that he has agreed to sign it.

Middleton is an exciting prospect for Rangers and has continued to go from strength-to-strength since being under the guidance of Gerrard.

The Ibrox chief has consistently praised the winger for his contributions to the side and has become an integral member of the squad this season.

Middleton is highly thought off at the Light Blues and has been touted to have a successful career for the team he has supported as a boy, and a long-term contract shows exactly what the club think of him.
