Rangers won’t want to lose any of their star players before the transfer window shuts, but things appear to be hotting up on the transfer front.
Steven Gerrard has worked wonders both on the transfer front and the managerial front since taking over at Ibrox. But, it appears as if the Bluenoses could wave goodbye to one of their players, as according to the Herald Scotland, Greg Docherty has emerged as a transfer target for English League One side Shrewsbury.
Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has emerged as a transfer target for Shrewsbury this summer.
Docherty will be allowed to leave Ibrox in the coming weeks in a bid to find regular first team football this term.
And, it’s understood that Shrewsbury boss John Askey could make a move to take the 21-year-old south of the border before the transfer window closes.
Interestingly, the Bluenoses will look to offload players in the hope that they can secure more game time, with Greg Docherty seemingly heading to Shrewsbury Town.
The youngster has impressed since making the move to Ibrox but he has fallen down the pecking order since Steven Gerrard joined the club. So, a move away to English football will help him enjoy regular minutes and will develop his game in what is a very competitive division.
