Rangers appear to be heading in the right direction under Steven Gerrard after a rather inconsistent start to their campaign, having gone unbeaten in their last four Scottish Premiership fixtures.
The Bluenoses managed to secure all three points against St Mirren in their last Scottish Premiership fixture in what was a convincing performance from Gerrard’s side.
Interestingly, Rangers will welcome Motherwell to Ibrox in their next Scottish Premiership fixture. The Steelmen have won their last two matches and are full of confidence, so it won’t be an easy afternoon for the Bluenoses.
With that in mind, Steven Gerrard must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Rangers stars…
Nikola Katic has been a regular feature under Steven Gerrard so far this season but he has been forced to take up an unusual position on the substitutes’ bench in recent times, which seems to have backfired. Indeed, Joe Worrall had a day to forget against St Mirren last time out as he couldn’t do anything right and was a constant threat to the side.
So, Gerrard shouldn’t hesitate to gift Katic a place in the starting lineup to play alongside Connor Goldson, who has already enjoyed some success alongside the Bosnian-born defender this season.
Eros Grezda hasn’t been able to live up to expectations since making the move to Rangers during the summer transfer window, as he is yet to register a goal or an assist.
But, he did show signs of improvement in a rare start against St Mirren as he thumped the post moments before his removal. So, with Daniel Candeias set for a period on the sidelines after being sent off last time out, it looks as if Grezda will be provided with another couple of chances to showcase his talents.
