England fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are an emotional wreck with the ongoing torment of the Euros but now they are fearful of the future… give us a break!
According to The Sun, Roy Hodgson who is currently plotting the nation’s journey to European glory has been distracted by the Football Association after they held talks with Brendan Rodgers about becoming his next successor.
It’s being reported the FA’s head of elite development Dan Ashworth is targeting the new Celtic boss to lead the Three Lions in the future.
Like Hodgson, the Northern Irishman failed to wholly convince at Anfield and if these reports are true he will find himself with the toughest job in the country.
Still, there are other candidates to succeed the former West Brom manager, with Gareth Southgate doing a good job with the Under-21s, whilst ex-Valencia coach Gary Neville is amongst the first-team coaching staff too.
