Rangers fans in dreamland over League Cup semi-final decision

Whilst one set of fans from Glasgow are livid and throwing tantrums over their Scottish League Cup semi-final, Rangers fans are loving the decision. Not only do they get to play at Hampden Park, but they get the later kick-off time of 4:30 and The Gers are enjoying the news almost as much as they’re enjoying The Hoops’ meltdown.

Whilst Rangers play Aberdeen at Hampden Park, Celtic will be facing Hearts at Murrayfield four hours earlier on the same day and the Bhoys have been moaning no end about the decision. At the end of the day, it’s just one game and Rangers fans will be happy to just roll up their sleeves and prepare for the Aberdeen clash, with a win sending them into a huge early final against either their Old Firm rivals or the Scottish Premier League leaders, Hearts.

In the eyes of the Rangers fans, a final against Celtic at Hampden is what they want and they’ll be keen to see Steven Gerrard personally deny Brendan Rodgers’ side their seventh straight domestic honour after winning back-to-back trebles in the past two seasons. For now, though, the Rangers fans will be taking it one game at a time, starting with their home clash against Rapid Wein tonight at Ibrox in the Europa League.

The fans are buzzing with this decision and will be looking forward to a big cup semi-final against Aberdeen at the end of the month.
