Rangers fans here in the Tavern will be hoping for success and silverware next season after failing to ensure consistency.
The Bluenoses weren’t able to enjoy consistency under Graeme Murty as they struggled for form at times. But, Steven Gerrard will be looking to have a positive impact over the course of the summer, as he will be sure to bring in a number of players and iron out any problems before the start of next season.
Shockingly, it appears as if Gerrard wants to reunite with one of his former Liverpool teammates, as it’s understood that Rangers want to sign Lucas Leiva this summer. The Brazilian is currently playing his football at Italian side Lazio, but he may decide to make the move to Ibrox as he’ll want to be a part of Gerrard’s squad at Rangers.
However, if Lucas Leiva joins this summer, Gerrard needs to follow it up with this major signing…
John McGinn has been impressive for Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership this season, with many of our local residents wanting to see him brought to Ibrox this summer.
The 23-year-old would add further options to Steven Gerrard’s midfield and be a popular signing amongst fans.
The central midfielder managed to score six goals and provided his teammates with eight assists this season, so Rangers could definitely benefit from having his well-rounded game in their side.
