West Bromwich Albion managed to put in a dominant performance at Villa Park last time out as they secured all three points, which has helped keep their automatic promotion hopes alive.
The Baggies have been rather impressive in recent times as they continue to develop under Darren Moore, and they currently have a game in hand over Sheffield United who sit in second position.
However, the Midlands club received a big setback in their pursuit of a summer target recently, as according to BBC Sport (via Birmingham Mail), Jake Hastie has said that he wants to stay at Motherwell.
Interestingly, The Daily Record reported that scouts from West Bromwich Albion had been to watch the midfielder.
Although, a possible summer switch now looks extremely unlikely, as the winger had this to say about his future:
“I don’t want to go anywhere. I want to stay here, keep my feet on the ground and keep progressing.
“I’ve been lucky to come in straight away. Hopefully I can keep doing what I’m doing.”
Jake Hastie has been dubbed as a wonderkid in recent times in Scotland as he continues to impress, with four goals and one assist to his name in eight Scottish Premiership appearances.
However, it comes as a big blow that the youngsters is looking to stay at Motherwell as it appears as if he won’t be open to moving away in the summer transfer window.
