Celtic haven’t been at their best in the current campaign as they’ve struggled with consistency under Brendan Rodgers.
The Hoops would have had their eyes set firmly on securing a third successive treble prior to the start of this season, but things haven’t exactly gone to plan after a poor start. Although, things are on the up, as according to the Scottish Sun, James Forrest has signed a new deal at Celtic.
Celtic star James Forrest has signed a new four-year deal with the club.
“From the first moment that I knew Celtic wanted to extend my deal, I knew this was what I wanted to do and there’s no other place for me.
“It’s unbelievable when you think about how long I’ve been here.
“Coming through the Youth Academy, all I wanted to do was make my debut in the first-team, and I was able to do that.
“But I could never think then that I’d go on to play the number of games that I have.”
James Forrest has always been a consistent performer for Celtic and was one of the main reasons behind them enjoying so much success in recent years, so Brendan Rodgers will be delighted that the club have secured an agreement.
The winger will no doubt go on to establish himself as one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership in the current campaign, with a number of positive performances being crucial in their race for the title.
