Rangers managed to secure all three points against St Mirren on Saturday in what was a dominant performance from Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Bluenoses will be desperate to enjoy a positive run of form in the Scottish Premiership with their title hopes still very much alive at this point. Although, one of the club’s players is casting doubt over his future, as according to The Herald Scotland (via Inside Futbol), Joe Worrall insists that Nottingham Forest are still his team.
Rangers defender Joe Worrall has revealed that he is delighted to get a sustained run in the side at Ibrox, but insists he remains firmly a Nottingham Forest player.
Worrall is on a season-long loan deal from Championship side Nottingham Forest and stressed that the spell at Ibrox is only temporary.
Steven Gerrard had hinted that he would like to keep Worrall at the club on a permanent deal, but this is what the central defender had to say on the matter:
“It’s obviously nice that the manager says things like that, but I’m on loan from Forest.
“Forest is my team, they employ me and pay my wages. It’s a loan for me.”
Joe Worrall has been one of the standout defenders for Steven Gerrard’s side this season, so he’ll be desperate to secure him on a permanent deal.
Although, it appears as if the Englishman isn’t offering any hope to Rangers supporters as Nottingham Forest are still his team, which could mean that he opts to play at the City Ground upon his return.
