Rangers fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to challenge Celtic in the next campaign, as they cannot afford to let them run away with the title once again next season.
Steven Gerrard will be looking to hit the ground running at Ibrox, with silverware and success already being eyed up by many of our local residents. Although, with his only previous managerial experience being from his time at Liverpool in the youth ranks, perhaps the Bluenoses have taken a gamble by appointing him as Graeme Murty’s successor.
Rangers could do with bringing an attacker to the club this summer, with Alfredo Morelos’ future surrounded with doubt and a lack of quality at Gerrard’s disposal.
Interestingly, supporters have been taking a trip down memory lane to relive the glory days from when Nacho Novo was at Ibrox, so they’d love nothing more than to see the club uncover another legend.
With that being said, landing this attacker would surely give Rangers fans Nacho Novo flashbacks…
Jordan Rhodes, who is valued at £5.4 million (by Transfermarkt), was prolific during his Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers days, but he just hasn’t been able to find his feet since leaving Ewood Park.
The striker only managed to score seven goals this season but there’s no doubt that he can be deadly in front of goal if given the space to create an opportunity. So, a move to Scotland may help him rediscover his goalscoring form, as English football just hasn’t treated him well in recent years.
Nacho Novo is a player for the big occasion, just like Jordan Rhodes was earlier on in his career, so with knowledge that the Scotland international can deliver at the most crucial of times, perhaps the Bluenoses will experience success in the near future with Rhodes in their side.Like what the TT have on offer?
