Rangers haven’t been able to carry their European form into domestic games as they appear to be outsiders in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.
The Bluenoses haven’t been able to ensure consistency in the Scottish Premiership under Steven Gerrard, with improvements definitely required if they want to enjoy success. Although, it looks as if one of the first team members is attracting interest, as according to the Scottish Sun, Lee Wallace is a target for English side Wigan Athletic.
Wigan boss Paul Cook wants to sign left-back Wallace after his fall from grace at Rangers.
Cook is friends with Steven Gerrard, who sold him Josh Windass in August, and is hoping to agree a cut-price fee.
But, the Bluenoses won’t be too fussed about a potential exit as he has been struggling with injuries and stagnating behind the scenes in recent times.
Lee Wallace has been fantastic for Rangers since he made the move to Glasgow, but the last couple of seasons haven’t gone to plan as he continues to lean towards an inevitable exit.
Indeed, the defender’s injuries and lack of quality shown in recent seasons have taken their toll as his days are numbered in Scotland, with Wigan Athletic offering him a lifeline.
