London rebuild could help Steven Gerrard continue his Rangers overhaul

Rangers may have been given a boost following the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping their club can take advantage.

The Hammers appointed the Chilean on a three-year deal on Tuesday and the manager has seemingly some of his players available to offers as he looks to make funds available to bring his own signings.

Reece Burke is one that could be on the move, according to a report in The Times, and Rangers have been credited with an interest in him previously.

Steven Gerrard has been busy since arriving at Ibrox and has already made a number of signings, but the centre of defence is an area of concern for him at the moment.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Rangers fans in the Tavern would welcome someone with Burke’s ability to the club should he become available. The 21-year-old has attracted plenty of interest recently and it is believed he could fit into Gerrard’s side with ease.

The new Ibrox chief has been looking to add a mixture of youth and experience when targeting new additions, with the likes of Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield already at the club, whilst he looks at loan targets to help inject some top-quality youngsters.
