Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will want major improvements to be made to the squad this summer as they look to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Steven Gerrard has been handed the managerial job of trying to match his former boss Brendan Rodgers’ exploits with the Bhoys, however, the Ibrox outfit will know they need to make a number of changes.
Director of Football Mark Allen has been busy looking at the squad to see where they need to make additions, however, the Scottish Sun are claiming up to nine players could be told to leave. The media outlet states Eduardo Herrara, Fabio Cardoso, Andy Halliday, Jak Alnwick, Joe Dodoo, Bruno Alves and Michael O’Halloran will be free to leave, whilst Sean Goss and Russell Martin are unlikely to see their loan moves turn into permanent deals.
The Rangers fans in the Tavern could be preparing themselves to see an entirely different team once the Scottish Premiership season kicks-off again next season after hearing that Allen is preparing to wield the axe.
The locals in the bar will be pleased that the club are already beginning to take action and will be hoping they can receive some financial backing from the sales to help bring in a number of additions that can help them to challenge Celtic straight away.
