Steven Gerrard does not appear to be showing signs of slowing down the signings he makes to improve his Rangers squad.
He has already added Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis to his squad, whilst Glen Kamara and Jordan Jones have both agreed to pre-contracts with the Ibrox outfit ahead of moves in the summer.
The United States of America international is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Chicago Fire and has been pictured training with the Light Blues in Tenerife.
It is understood the 25-year-old impressed during an initial trial in December and Gerrard is keen to see how he gets on in their warm-weather training camp.
Polster is a versatile player that could prove to be a good piece of solid business by Rangers this January.
The America international can play in either midfield or defence and would be available on a free transfer.
It remains to be seen if he does enough to convince Rangers to snap him up, but he could potentially become Gerrard’s fifth January transfer window signing.
