‘More made up guff’ – Celtic fans on Twitter have no time for transfer rumour

The Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have been laughing off a story from The Scottish Sun this morning that claims a mystery club are also keen on signing Odsonne Edouard, despite the fact the Glasgow club have an option to buy him until mid-June as he spent this season on loan with the Hoops. However, the fans have written the story off as rubbish and firmly believe that the Frenchman will be plying his trade at Parkhead next season.

20-year-old Edouard enjoyed a superb season on-loan at Celtic this campaign, winning the treble with the Scottish superpower and 11 goals in his 29 appearances in the process. Now though, the French attacker will have returned to Paris and will be awaiting news over his future. It’s unlikely that the striker will get much, if any, playing time at the Parc Des Princes anytime soon, and a move back to Celtic would make perfect sense.

The fans took to Edouard like a duck to water, and he quickly became a fan favourite with his goals, assists and all-round forward play making it easy for the fans to understand the loan signing. However, now with a supposed ‘mystery club’ interested in his services and the fee needed to sign him being one that would likely smash their transfer record, the future of young Edouard is up in the air.
