Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has again been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons following his side’s 1-0 SPL loss to Livingston at the Almondvale Stadium last weekend.
Morelos refused to shake Livingston defender Declan Gallagher’s hand at the end of the game, and Gallagher’s team-mate Lee Miller has since come out to criticise the Colombian for his actions.
Speaking to the Daily Record about what happened, Miller said: “It was disgraceful from Morelos on Sunday. It was so unprofessional as well.
“I really feel for big Declan. He’s been made out to be the bad guy. Don’t get me wrong, Morelos is a quality act as a player. It’s testimony to him that people are trying to mark him out the game and make things difficult for him.
“But he’s got to take it and show respect by shaking hands at the end of the game. That part of it he lacked.”
As alluded to by Miller, there is no denying Morelos’ quality as a player. However, the Colombia international’s attitude and disciplinary is proving to be quite the problem.
Morelos has already been sent off twice this season and, going forward, it is hard to see how the former HJK man can be relied upon in any potential title race for Rangers with the mentality he currently has.
At 22, there is still plenty of time for Morelos to fix things in regards to his attitude and disciplinary, but until then Rangers boss Steven Gerrard should be worried about the antics he has seen from his striker so far.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
