On Sunday, Rangers kicked off their Scottish Premier League campaign with a trip to Pittodrie where they came away with a 1-1 draw. The Dandies equalised in the 93rd minute against the ten men of Rangers and now that Steven Gerrard has confirmed Alfredo Morelos’s red card has been overturned, it really does feel like the Gers have been robbed of two points.
SG: I have spoken to Morelos and our conversations will always remain private, we have just heard that the red card has been rescinded.

This one is bittersweet for Rangers. The news that Morelos’ red has been rescinded and been turned into just a yellow is a good news as the Colombian striker will be available for Gerrard’s home debut in the league against St Mirren on Sunday. However, the fans are all in agreement that had Morelos been given a yellow and not a red on Sunday, they would have held onto their lead and not lost out on two points.
For Stevie G, the hard thing now will be to put the incident behind him and try to concentrate on bouncing back from the unjust draw against Aberdeen. The club face NK Maribor in the Europa League third-round qualifier first-leg tonight and if they can beat the Slovenian outfit before dispatching St Mirren on Sunday, the fans will have forgotten all about the events at Pittodrie.

Can they give us the two points dropped as well due to it.

What a surprise a rescinded red card! Good that it has been but how many times are we going to see this again after last season!

This cost us a lot of points last season and now in the first game this season.

2 points dropped. Job done as far as corrupt SPFL concerned.

Nice available then for Sunday

Same old same old too little to late

It’s clear to see from the above tweets that whilst the fans are pleased Morelos is available for St Mirren, they’re frustrated that it’s cost them two points.
