Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter were still far from happy with the way their side went down at the Bet 365 Stadium on Saturday when they tuned in to watch Rangers face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals. Shoddy defending cost them on Saturday, and to see their young loanee Joe Worrall play so well will have been a kick in the teeth.

The 22-year-old defender would have made a massive improvement to the Tricky Trees defence had he been trusted at the heart of Martin O’Neil’s backline when they travelled to face Stoke, yet instead, he was preparing for a cup clash on loan in Glasgow. To see the youngster shine for the Gers would have been pleasing buy frustrating, as his goal and defensive showing would not have gone amiss for them.
In 35 games this season the Nottingham side have kept 12 clean sheets out of a possible 35 this season, and whilst that could be a lot worse, the fans believe it could also be a lot better if they had their commanding young defender in Joe Worrall at The City Ground putting in performances for them like he has been for Rangers. However, next season it looks like Worrall won’t be leaving Nottingham on another loan and the fans will be delighted to see him in Red instead of Blue.
